About MTMP Solutions

MTMP Solutions LLC is the successor company to Media Technology Market Partners LLC, which was originally founded in 2009.  MTMP Solutions provides system design, integrated solutions, consulting services, hardware and software to the media and entertainment industry. The firm specializes in storage solutions for digital content with an emphasis on active archive solutions.  Many times this includes the use of LTFS (Linear Tape File System) enabled solutions.

MTMP Solutions was an early advocate and is a continuing evangelist for the use of LTFS in storage solutions not only for media and entertainment but all digital media content. MTMP has become a leading provider of storage solutions with the help of these partners:

• IBM… the inventor of LTFS
• StrongLink… the inventor of StrongBox and StrongLink
• The LTO Program… The industry consortium managing the Linear Tape-Open (LTO) standards and practices.

The firm is headquartered in Southern California.

Leadership

David L. Trumbo
Managing Principal

David provides solution architecture leadership and operational management for MTMP Solutions LLC.  With three decades of successful leadership and professional positions for IBM, David L. Trumbo has experience in sales, marketing, solution development, product management & consulting services.  He played a key role in the re-launch of IBM’s Media & Entertainment Solutions team.  The mission of this team was to apply IBM’s technology, products and services to the development of solutions solving business and content production requirements for the global media industry.
For the past 15 years, first at Media Technology Market Partners LLC and now MTMP Solutions LLC, David led the design and implementation of numerous successful digital media work-in-process and active archive solutions for prominent media companies.

David graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed graduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles – Anderson School of Management.
